Flag Day Cellebrated



Employees of the Ethiopian   Wildlife Conservation Authority have celebrated the Ethiopian Flag Day on 17th of October 2015 at an occasion held at Genet Hotel.
In his remark to the employees, Director General of the Authority, Ato Dawud Mumme said that the Flag Day is significant in that it provides an opportunity to exchange views and raise awareness of citizens on the national flag. He added that the flag of the FDRE is a symbol of democratic unity, freedom and renaissance.
Hence, he called up on employees to play roles expected of them in achieving the goals of the second GTP.
In the occasion, Director of the Public Relations and Information Directorate of the Authority, Ato Zerihun Zewdie presented a paper on the definition, significance and usage of the flag with particular emphasis on the appearance of the Ethiopian flag under the various regimes that had ruled the country.
He also explained in-depth the overall meanings and expressions attached to the colors and the emblem of the flag of the FDRE.
Following the presentation, the employees forwarded various questions and remarks on which replies were given by Ato Zerihun and other officials.
Finally, the employees have sung the Ethiopian anthem thereby bring the occasion to conclusion.
